Welcome to The Edible Canvas at The Kitchen Classroom in Brea, California - where creativity meets cake!
Decorate a custom cake or cupcakes for a special occasion, or simply for the joy of creating something sweet.
How it Works
Every cake decorating experience is for one person only. A second person, the artist assistant, can be added. A 6” cake experience can include one additional “artist assistant” for $15. The artist assistant helps decorate the artists cake and does not receive their own cake.
- You pick your cake canvas. What is included depends on the package that you purchase.
Each booking includes a pre-baked cake or cupcakes, decorating supplies, and studio time.

Important Notes:
The Edible Canvas is a decorating experience, children under 7 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Adults who wish to stay and assist must purchase a artist assistant ticket and remain in the decorating area.

About the Edible Canvas
Welcome to The Kitchen Classroom’s Edible Canvas located inside The Kitchen Classroom Cooking School where you are the artist! This hands-on DIY cake decorating experience is designed for all ages and skill levels. With all the tools, ingredients, and guidance you need, cake decorating has never been so easy, creative, and fun.
Here’s how it works - choose your canvas:
- A single piece of cake (chocolate or vanilla)
- A 4” two-layer cake (chocolate or vanilla)
- A 6” two-layer cake (chocolate, vanilla, or funfetti)
- Or try The Pure Imagination Cake - a 6” two-layer cake covered in buttercream (your choice of color and flavor: vanilla, chocolate, confetti, or red velvet), where you get up to five buttercream colors
and two fondant accents to decorate with! - Or Cupcakes 4, 6, or 12 to decorate with buttercream and fondant.

- OR bring your own ideas to life with a one-of-a-kind original creation.
Walk-ins are welcome (based on seat availability) during regular business hours - so stop by, grab your cake canvas, and let your imagination soar!
We offer a few cake options now and will be expanding our offerings to include cupcakes and Grab-n-Go DIY cake decorating kits.
